This role is responsible for the prompt and courteous delivery of all In Room Dining orders, maintaining a positive In Room Dining image through all areas of guest contact and through the cleanliness of guest areas. The server will communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen and Food and Beverage Departments. They will record transactions in the MICROS system at the time of order, maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, and glassware throughout the day, and complete closing duties including restocking items and turning off lights. The server will present physical and accurate checks to guests and process payments. Additionally, they must follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions, and complete safety training and certifications. Ensuring a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information, and protecting company assets are also key responsibilities. The role involves welcoming and acknowledging all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing guests’ service needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and thanking guests with genuine appreciation. Effective communication with others using clear and professional language, developing and maintaining positive working relationships, supporting the team to reach common goals, and listening and responding appropriately to the concerns of other employees are essential. The server must ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. This role requires standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors may also be assigned.
