About The Position

Visiting Angels of Wichita Falls is hiring an In Home Personal Aide to serve senior adults and home-care clients throughout the local area, including Bowie, Jacksboro, Henrietta, Petrolia, and Montague. Aides help clients remain at home or recover at home with dignity. Client visits vary, and aides must be prepared to respond quickly to medical emergencies and report health changes or unusual circumstances. The role calls for competency, compassion, and professional discernment. Shift options include full-time, part-time, 8-hour, 10-hour, and 12-hour shifts, PRN, and short one-hour shifts.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent time-management skills.
Reliable transportation to client visits.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks.
Must pass a background check and drug screen.
Training or knowledge in First Aid and emergency response.
Compassion for vulnerable people and interest in providing meaningful companionship.
Willingness to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
Provide light housekeeping.
Encourage clients to meet exercise and fitness goals.
Prompt clients to take prescription medications at the appropriate times.
Help clients shop and put away groceries, or shop on their behalf.
Plan and prepare meals in collaboration with clients, based on client ability.
Assist clients with mobility and ambulation, including moving around the home, attending doctor visits, and taking walks.
Respond promptly to medical emergencies and report health changes or unusual circumstances.
