About The Position
Visiting Angels of Paris is hiring In Home Patient Care Assistants to serve clients in Sulphur Springs, Paris, Mt Pleasant, Clarksville, Cooper, Talco, and surrounding areas. The role supports clients’ quality of life and wellness in accordance with their individual care plans. Caregivers may assist with exercise and mobility, meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship, medication reminders, shopping trips, and appointments or errands. They also report health changes or unusual incidents and respond responsibly to emergencies. Advanced training opportunities in dementia and Alzheimer’s care are available.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle to transport clients.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Training in First Aid and emergency response; training is provided if needed.
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to manage multiple duties at once.
- Reliable transportation to and from client homes at scheduled care times.
- Physical endurance for tasks such as carrying groceries and physically supporting a client.
- Comfort performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints.
- Ability and willingness to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards, such as a background check.
- Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten clients’ days.

- Interest in broadening caregiving skills through advanced training in dementia care and/or Alzheimer’s care.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with light physical exercise or walks.
- Plan and prepare meals with clients while observing applicable dietary constraints.
- Perform light housekeeping duties.
- Report health changes or unusual incidents.
- Provide pleasant, supportive companionship.
- Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
- Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
- Remind clients to take prescription medications appropriately.
- Assist clients with mobility and ambulation at home and during appointments or errands.
