About The Position
Visiting Angels of Marble Falls is hiring In Home Patient Care Assistants to serve clients throughout the Highland Lakes area, including Llano, Marble Falls, Mason, Burnet, Kingsland, and Buchanan Dam. The role supports clients’ wellness and quality of life in accordance with their individual care plans. Caregivers may provide personal care, companionship, mobility support, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, and assistance with errands or appointments. The role also involves responding appropriately to emergencies and reporting health changes or unusual incidents. Advanced training opportunities in dementia and Alzheimer’s care are available.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle to transport clients.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- First Aid and emergency response training; training is provided if needed.
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to handle multiple duties.
- Reliable transportation to and from client homes at scheduled care times.
- Physical endurance for tasks such as carrying groceries and physically supporting a client.
- Comfort performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints.
- Ability and willingness to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards, including background checks.
- Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten clients’ days.

- Interest in advanced training in dementia care or Alzheimer’s care.
Responsibilities
- Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
- Assist clients with light physical exercise or walks.
- Plan and prepare meals with clients while following applicable dietary constraints.
- Perform light housekeeping duties.
- Report health changes or unusual incidents.
- Provide pleasant, supportive companionship.
- Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
- Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
- Remind clients to take prescription medications appropriately.
- Assist with mobility and ambulation at home and during appointments or errands.
