About The Position
Visiting Angels of Bryan is hiring caregivers to serve clients throughout Central Texas, including Brenham, Bellville, Somerville, Whitman, Wilcox, Snook, College Station, and other areas. The role supports clients’ wellness and quality of life in accordance with their individual care plans. Caregivers may work in clients’ homes or in facilities, depending on location and shift availability. Flexible schedules and opportunities for advanced training in dementia and Alzheimer’s care are offered.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle to transport clients.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Training in first aid and emergency response; training is provided if needed.
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to handle multiple duties at once.
- Reliable transportation to and from client homes at scheduled care times.
- Physical endurance for tasks such as carrying groceries and physically supporting a client.
- Comfort performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to dietary constraints.
- Willingness and ability to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards, including a background check.
- Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten clients’ days.

- Interest in advanced training in dementia care or Alzheimer’s care.
Responsibilities
- Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
- Assist clients with light physical exercise or walks.
- Plan and prepare meals with clients while following applicable dietary constraints.
- Perform light housekeeping duties.
- Report health changes or unusual incidents.
- Provide pleasant, supportive companionship.
- Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
- Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
- Remind clients to take prescription medications appropriately.
- Assist with mobility and ambulation at home and during appointments or errands.
