About The Position

Comfort Keepers is hiring an in-home caregiver in the Cokato/Howard Lake area. The role helps clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. Wages begin at $18 per hour, or $20 per hour for Certified Nursing Assistants. Employees become eligible after five months of employment for free CNA classes through Scrubs Academy. Part-time and full-time hours are available depending on availability.

Requirements

• Experience in a caregiving role.
• Availability every other weekend and on holidays.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable personal transportation, a clean driving record, and three years of driving experience.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance; must be comfortable driving.
• Pass DHS and driving-record background clearance.
• Customer service excellence and professional boundaries are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living.
• Provide hands-on personal care, including assistance with dressing, grooming, incontinence, and hygiene.
• Perform light housekeeping, including cleaning bathrooms, living areas, and kitchens; dusting; mopping; changing linens; vacuuming; doing laundry; and taking out garbage.
• Assist with meal planning, cooking, and baking.
• Provide conversation and companionship.
• Provide interactive caregiving.
• Assist with mobility, which may include using transfer tools or equipment.
• Assist with medication.
• Provide dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
• Communicate with the Client Care Coordinator as needed.
• Provide proper electronic documentation of shifts and care provided.
