About The Position

Comfort Keepers is hiring an in-home caregiver in the Cokato/Howard Lake area. The role helps clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes. Wages begin at $18 per hour, or $20 per hour for Certified Nursing Assistants. Employees may become eligible for free CNA classes through Scrubs Academy after five months of employment. Part-time and full-time hours are available depending on availability.

Requirements

• Experience in a caregiving role.
• Availability every other weekend and holiday.
• At least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Own reliable transportation, a clean driving record, and three years of driving experience.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance, and comfort driving.
• DHS and driving-record background clearance.
• Customer service excellence and professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including dressing, grooming, incontinence care, and hygiene.
• Perform light housekeeping, including cleaning bathrooms, living areas, and kitchens; dusting; mopping; changing linens; vacuuming; laundry; and taking out garbage.
• Plan and prepare meals, including cooking and baking.
• Provide conversation, companionship, and interactive caregiving.
• Assist with mobility, including use of transfer tools or equipment.
• Assist with medication.
• Provide dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
• Communicate with the Client Care Coordinator as needed.
• Complete proper electronic documentation of shifts and care provided.
