About The Position

Open Arms Solutions is hiring In-Home Caregivers to provide personalized, non-medical support to seniors in their homes in Northfield, IL, and surrounding North Shore communities. The role supports clients’ comfort, dignity, safety, and independence while assisting with daily routines and needs. Applicants should be located in Buffalo Grove, IL, or nearby areas and able to commute to client residences throughout the service area. Positions are available for immediate start, with 12-hour, 8-hour, and 4-hour shift opportunities and scheduling options to fit availability. Client placements are based on location when possible. The company offers a supportive management team, continued training, and opportunities to develop caregiving skills.

Requirements

At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience within the past 2 years.
Dependable transportation and the ability to travel between client homes.
Current driver’s license or state ID.
Smartphone for work-related communication and documentation.
Must be 18 or older.
Legally permitted to work in the United States.
Successful completion of a background screening.
Dependable, respectful, and compassionate approach to client care.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and restroom needs.
Support safe movement and transfers around the home.
Provide companionship and conversation.
Prepare meals and encourage proper fluid intake.
Assist with household chores and laundry, and maintain a tidy living space.
Provide medication prompts and reminders.
Accompany clients to appointments, shopping trips, and other activities.
Keep the care team informed of changes in a client’s condition or daily routine.
