About The Position

Open Arms Solutions is hiring In-Home Caregivers to provide personalized, non-medical assistance to seniors in Northfield, IL, and nearby communities. Care is based on each client’s needs and routines, with the goal of supporting comfort, dignity, safety, and independence at home. Applicants in Buffalo Grove, IL, and nearby areas should be able to commute to client residences throughout the service area. Shift opportunities include 12-hour, 8-hour, and 4-hour shifts. Positions are available for immediate start, with scheduling options to fit availability and the ability to take on extra hours when available. Client placements are based on location when possible. The company offers accessible, supportive management, continued training, and opportunities to develop caregiving skills.

Requirements

At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience within the past 2 years.
Dependable transportation and ability to travel between client homes.
Current Driver’s License or State ID.
Smartphone for work-related communication and documentation.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Legally permitted to work in the United States.
Successful completion of a background screening.
Dependable, respectful, and compassionate approach to client care.

Responsibilities

Help clients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and restroom needs.
Support safe movement and transfers around the home.
Provide companionship and conversation.
Prepare meals and encourage proper fluid intake.
Assist with household chores and laundry, and maintain a tidy living space.
Provide medication prompts and reminders.
Accompany clients to appointments, shopping trips, and other activities.
Keep the care team informed of changes in a client’s condition or daily routine.
