In Home Caregiver - Hampton, VA
About The Position
AmeriCare Plus is hiring CNAs, NAs, and PCAs to provide compassionate in-home personal care to clients in Hampton, Virginia. Caregivers support clients with daily activities and provide companionship while helping them remain comfortable in their homes. Cases are available immediately. The schedule may be full-time, part-time, or PRN, with flexible availability that may include weekdays, weekends, and overnights. Weekly pay is offered, and full-time PCAs may be eligible for benefits. PCA classes are available for uncertified applicants, and ongoing training and PPE are provided.
Requirements
- CNA, NA, or PCA certification; online training is provided for people interested in becoming PCAs.
- Reliable transportation and a valid Virginia driver’s license.
- Social Security card and two professional references.
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing.
- Support client mobility and transfers, such as moving between a bed and wheelchair.
- Prepare light meals and assist with feeding.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Perform light housekeeping duties.
- Monitor and report changes in clients’ health or behavior.
