About The Position

Lifesteps is hiring compassionate caregivers to work with adults with disabilities in a residential home setting in Plum, Pennsylvania. Direct Care Aides assist individuals with activities of daily living and home care, including dressing, meal preparation, bathing, and transportation to doctor appointments. No experience is necessary; paid training is provided. Experienced home health aides, nurse’s aides, support assistants, and direct support professionals are welcome. Full-time hours are available, and part-time hours with flexible scheduling are also offered.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to lift up to 200 pounds with assistance.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Ability to obtain ACT 33/34 and FBI clearances.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a home health aide, nurse’s aide, support assistant, or direct support professional.

Responsibilities

• Cook and serve meals.
• Clean the house.
• Shop for groceries and supplies.
• Provide personal care assistance, such as grooming and bathing.
• Administer medication.
• Assist individuals with attaining personal goals.
• Support community outings and fun activities.
• Transport individuals to doctor appointments.
