About The Position

Griswold Home Care for Northern Vermont is seeking experienced caregivers who are reliable, communicative, and take pride in their work. This role involves building lasting relationships with clients and becoming a trusted member of their care team, helping older adults remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience caring for older adults in a home care or facility setting
• High School Diploma or GED
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable personal vehicle
• Valid car insurance
• Ability to successfully complete required background and employment screenings
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently
• Three strong professional references
• Take scheduled shifts seriously
• Arrive on time and be prepared to work
• Communicate promptly when an issue arises
• Comfortable working independently in a client's home
• Follow care plans and office instructions
• Notice changes in a client's condition, mood, or needs and communicate them appropriately
• Take initiative rather than waiting to be told what needs to be done
• Treat clients, families, and coworkers with professionalism and respect

• Previous in-home caregiving experience

Responsibilities

• Companionship and meaningful engagement
