About The Position
Griswold Home Care for Blair County is seeking experienced caregivers who are reliable, communicative, and take pride in their work. Our clients depend on us for consistency and peace of mind, requiring caregivers who understand the importance of reliability and communication alongside compassion. This role involves building lasting relationships with clients and becoming a trusted member of their care team, assisting older adults to remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience caring for older adults
- High School Diploma or GED
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable personal vehicle
- Valid car insurance
- Ability to successfully complete required background and employment screenings
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently
- Three strong professional references
Nice To Haves
- Previous in-home caregiving experience
- Experience with personal care
- Experience working with clients with dementia or other age-related conditions
- Experience communicating with families and care teams
Responsibilities
- Companionship and meaningful engagement
- Personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Meal preparation

- Following individualized care plans
- Observing and reporting changes in a client's needs
