About The Position

This role is for experienced, compassionate caregivers to join a team across the Greater San Diego area. The position focuses on providing hands-on, non-medical support to help clients with Dementia, Alzheimer's, ALS, and Parkinson's disease live safely and comfortably in their own homes. The role emphasizes a human-centered approach to care, going beyond clinical tasks to provide a consistent, calming presence for clients and their families.

Requirements

• Prior caregiving experience, especially with neurodegenerative or memory care clients
• Patience, reliability, and genuine compassion
• Strong communication skills with clients, families, and team members
• Ability to follow and adapt to individualized care plans
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check and provide a current TB test

Nice To Haves

• Experience with safe transfer techniques
• Familiarity with memory care best practices
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care: bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene
• Supporting mobility, transfers, and safe redirection for memory care clients
• Meal preparation and feeding assistance
• Light housekeeping, errands, grocery runs, and prescription pick-ups
• Transportation to appointments and outings
• Monitoring client wellbeing and communicating changes to the care team
• Being a consistent, calming presence clients and families can count on
