Requirements

  • Required to confirm acceptance of the shift upon receiving it.
  • Must be available and ready to go on a last-minute shift.
  • Must have no complaints from clients.
  • Must be able to go to any client’s home.
  • Aid with clients walk-ins.
  • Provide high-quality care and companionship to clients during scheduled shifts.
  • Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, cleaning, and organizing.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, always ensuring client safety.
  • Monitor and document the client’s health, behavior, and overall well-being, and report any changes to the Care Manager.
  • Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or social activities as needed.
  • Administer medications as directed by the client's care plan (if trained and authorized).
  • Follow individualized care plans to meet the specific needs of each client.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to follow detailed care plans and work independently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to assist clients with mobility, transfers, and activities of daily living.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a caregiver, CNA, or in-home health aide is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide essential in-home care and support to clients.

  • Provide Dementia and Alzheimer's care.
