In-Home Care Companion
About The Position
Provide in-home companion care to an independent adult male in Pardeeville, Wisconsin. The client is highly independent and values honesty, consistency, and reliability, but experiences mobility challenges and occasional pain that can make some tasks difficult. The provider assists when needed while offering friendly companionship and supporting the client’s ability to remain in his own home. The client may enjoy morning coffee, conversation, or watching a favorite show before starting the day’s tasks. The schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings, 8 a.m. to noon, with light flexibility around those hours. Compensation is $16.32 per hour. The client’s member or managing party is the legal employer of record if hired; Consumer Direct Care Network assists with recruiting and is not the legal employer. New hires who complete CDCP training may receive up to $500 in training and retention bonuses during their first six months.
Requirements
- Dependability, punctuality, and clear communication; maintaining a consistent schedule is essential.
- Communicate proactively if scheduling issues arise.
- Comfort assisting with light personal care and household tasks.
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
- Friendly, patient demeanor and comfort building a professional relationship with the client.
- Comfort working with pets in the home.
- Ability to ask questions when unsure and willingness to help without constant direction.
- Respect for the client’s independence.
- Must pass caregiver and criminal background checks.

- Previous experience is welcome but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide light morning personal care assistance, including dressing and bathing.
- Offer companionship and social interaction.
- Take initiative to complete household tasks when appropriate.
- Wash dishes, do laundry, vacuum, mop, and perform general cleaning and housekeeping.
- Assist with light errands and community outings.
- Complete other household tasks as needed.
