BASIC FUNCTION: The Improvement Facilitator is responsible for leading the Rolling Mill improvement of the Rolling Mill with focus on process and metallurgical support for SBQ bar production. This defines and optimizes rolling mill process routes and practices, investigates and eliminates root causes of process and product non-conformances, and provides technical guidance to operations, support sales, and customers to drive quality, productivity, and continuous improvement. DIMENSIONS: Rolling Mill Process NATURE & SCOPE: This job is primarily accountable to facilitate resolutions for the ECR / PPAP/ IMDS process. The incumbent will assist in determining and eliminating the root cause of non-conformance that are found at the division and/or with the customer. This position is accountable for process capability improvements, support internal stakeholders, customer technical liaison for rolled products. The Improvement Facilitator IV balances people, equipment, and material constraints to meet quality targets while controlling cost and schedule. Typical challenges include improving safety, stabilizing process improvement, quality, cost across product families and scaling process changes from trials to production This job reports to the Rolling Mill Superintendent This job has several challenges such as combining the efforts of people, equipment and material in order to meet quality goals and standards, while controlling costs within the established guidelines.
