About The Position

The Import Logistics Coordinator organizes and manages the day-to-day functions of the Air Import Gateways to meet customer needs and provide a high rate of return. The role includes consolidation, internal operational service, securing the air release of ULDs from airlines and company CFS facilities, and opening break-bulk files for Air Import Gateways for handoff to BDP and third-party brokerage. The coordinator also works with truckers, air carriers, CFS facilities, and final-mile providers, addresses import challenges, and completes accounting-related tasks.

Requirements

One to two years of experience in a customer service environment is preferred.
At least one to two years of experience handling import trafficking functions is preferred.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication and organizational skills and strong attention to detail are required.
Ability to work on a team and leadership experience are strongly desired.
Ability to learn various computer programs.
A college degree is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Negotiate regionally with truckers to obtain competitive rates for final-mile delivery.
Resolve air import challenges for internal and external customers.
Apply global knowledge of import requirements to shipments arriving from or transiting in bond from the USA.
Communicate daily with core and regional air carriers, CFS facilities, and final-mile providers.
Meet accounting requirements, keep payables current and accurate according to company policy, and complete monthly accounts receivable statements.
Attend regulatory training, seminars, and meetings with airlines and CFS facilities.
Perform other job-related duties and functions as required.
