About The Position

The Contingent is seeking an Implementation Manager, Every Child to drive new state launches for the Every Child initiative. This role is for an individual who excels at execution, thrives with clear goals and complex moving parts, and takes accountability for bringing projects to completion. The Implementation Manager will coordinate across various internal teams (engineering, marketing, customer experience, data and evaluation) to ensure smooth state launches. They will also be responsible for training state staff and partner organizations on the Every Child product, developing necessary materials and fostering strong relationships. This role involves close partnership with a State Relational Lead who manages government relationships, with the Implementation Manager supporting state implementations and ensuring clear communication with state partners. The position requires a dynamic and adaptable individual, as responsibilities may vary.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of experience in implementation, program management, or customer onboarding in a technology-enabled services environment (SaaS, gov tech, ed tech, or health tech experience is particularly relevant).
  • Experience working with or within government agencies, with an understanding of how state systems operate.
  • Track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder implementations from kickoff through completion.
  • Experience training non-technical users on technology products and building supporting materials.
  • Sufficient technological fluency to communicate credibly with engineers and translate technical concepts for non-technical partners.
  • Clear, organized communicator with the ability to adapt communication style for different audiences (state government partners vs. internal engineering teams).
  • Mission-connected and motivated by the idea of helping find more strategic homes for children in care.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SharePoint, Asana, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or another CRM platform.
  • Experience supporting teams of entry-level professionals and coaching rising leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end implementation plans for new state launches, from kickoff through go-live.
  • Coordinate across engineering, marketing, customer experience, and data and evaluation teams to ensure alignment and adherence to schedules.
  • Identify risks early, escalate when necessary, and drive resolutions in partnership with all involved teams.
  • Manage up to two concurrent state implementations with focus and clarity.
  • Maintain and improve the existing implementation playbook, documenting successful strategies for future state launches.
  • Lead onboarding and training for state staff and partner organizations on the Every Child product.
  • Build learning materials in partnership with the Customer Experience team.
  • Ensure state partners feel confident and clear on next steps after training sessions.
