About The Position

Canals is hiring an Implementation Engineer to connect customers’ ERP systems—including Eclipse, P21, and Infor—with Canals. This technical, customer-facing role plays a central part in customer onboarding and implementation by configuring integrations, validating data flows, and developing expertise in how Canals interacts with distributor ERP systems. The engineer supports customers before and after sale, provides ERP-specific guidance during technical discovery, and owns hands-on integration work after a customer signs. The role involves implementing integrations with ERPs and other integration partners using standardized templates and API credentials; evaluating integration feasibility; configuring endpoints and testing APIs; validating end-to-end data flows; troubleshooting issues; and serving as the technical owner during onboarding and go-live. The engineer documents integration procedures and ERP-specific details and collaborates with Customer Success, Support, Product, and Engineering. Occasional Zendesk support coverage may also be needed. The position reports to the Head of Implementation and is fully remote in a flexible, remote-first company distributed across North and South America.

  • Familiarity with APIs, REST endpoints, authentication methods, and JSON payloads.
  • Experience with ERPs or a strong desire to learn systems such as Eclipse, P21, and Infor in depth.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical users.
  • Excellent organization and project management abilities.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving, fully remote environment with high ownership.
