Under the direction of the Community Health Division Director, the Immunization and General Communicable Disease Program Manager provides leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for Kitsap Public Health District’s general communicable disease and immunization programs. Working in collaboration with executive leadership, the incumbent oversees investigation, response, and case management for general communicable diseases – including tuberculosis – as well as administration of evidence-based immunization practices, school and childcare regulatory compliance, immunization access, and community outreach. Comprehensive knowledge of communicable disease mitigation, public health emergency preparedness, and current immunization practices is required. This management-level nursing position is responsible for leadership, technical support, and direct supervision of assigned staff. The incumbent applies high-level technical expertise to achieve program objectives while actively performing professional nursing duties as a working manager.
