Remote | Immigration Attorney (BigLaw Firms) — $140–$400/hour
About The Position
24-MAG LLC is recruiting experienced Immigration Attorneys with substantial BigLaw backgrounds for a fully remote freelance/contract consulting engagement. Professionals will contribute expertise in US immigration law to advanced AI training and evaluation initiatives. The work combines legal analysis, research, document review, technology-enabled workflows, and structured quality assessment to support the accuracy and reliability of AI systems in specialized immigration law settings. Prior AI experience is not required. Assignments may include analysing complex immigration questions and case scenarios; reviewing, drafting, editing, and evaluating immigration legal documents; conducting research; developing realistic legal examples and training scenarios; assessing AI-generated legal content; and providing structured feedback. The role also involves remote collaboration with legal professionals, technical contributors, project coordinators, and other stakeholders. Work must be completed without using confidential or proprietary information belonging to an employer, client, institution, or other third party.
Requirements
- Active licence to practise law.
- Demonstrated professional expertise in US immigration law.
- Significant experience practising in a BigLaw firm environment, including substantial involvement in complex immigration matters.
- Strong understanding of US immigration statutes, regulations, administrative procedures, and relevant legal frameworks.
- Experience advising clients on sophisticated immigration matters and managing complex legal casework.
- Advanced legal research, analytical reasoning, and legal writing capabilities.
- Experience drafting, reviewing, and evaluating immigration memoranda, briefs, and case documentation.
- Familiarity with established legal research platforms, databases, and professional research methodologies.
- Practical knowledge of immigration case management systems and technology-enabled legal workflows.
- Ability to interpret complex legal information and identify nuanced procedural, regulatory, and substantive issues.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accurate, well-structured legal analyses.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including explaining complex immigration concepts clearly.
- Experience collaborating with legal teams, technology professionals, or multidisciplinary project stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and contribute effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
- Analyse complex US immigration law questions involving statutes, regulations, and immigration procedures.
- Review immigration case scenarios for legal accuracy, procedural requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Assess immigration issues requiring statutory interpretation, case law analysis, and professional judgment.
- Review, draft, edit, and evaluate immigration memoranda, briefs, case documentation, and supporting legal materials.
- Assess legal documents for accuracy, clarity, completeness, and consistency with immigration requirements.
- Develop realistic legal examples, case studies, questions, and structured scenarios based on complex immigration matters.
- Identify drafting deficiencies, procedural ambiguities, and areas requiring further legal explanation.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using legal databases, research tools, statutes, regulations, administrative guidance, and relevant decisions.
- Use case management software to simulate and evaluate technology-enabled immigration legal workflows.
- Review and validate AI-generated legal analyses and explanations; identify inaccuracies, incomplete reasoning, and procedural or regulatory issues.
- Provide actionable feedback to improve the accuracy, consistency, and practical relevance of AI-generated legal content.
- Produce research summaries, document annotations, case assessments, and structured evaluation feedback.
- Collaborate remotely with legal professionals, technical contributors, project coordinators, and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
- Communicate complex immigration law concepts to legal and non-legal audiences.
- Support improvement of legal research methodologies, evaluation processes, and project deliverables.
