About The Position

Sanabria & Associates, PLLC, a fast-growing and prestigious law firm with multiple offices in Maryland, Virginia, and Florida, is seeking highly motivated and qualified attorneys. This role requires immigration experience and is ideal for a candidate who is a great communicator, team member, manager, and self-starter. The candidate must possess the desire to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, high-growth practice. The attorney will need to handle a fast caseload, manage day-to-day interactions with clients and potential clients, lead a large team of paralegals, meet deadlines, and be available to clients and the firm's partners as needed. Strong organizational skills and project management abilities are essential for success in this role.

Requirements

• J.D. from an ABA Accredited Law School (required)
• Active Bar License in Good Standing from any US State or PR (required)
• Authorized to work in the US
• Fluent in Spanish (required)
• Immigration experience (1 year or more)

Responsibilities

• Meet with potential new clients
• Coordinate case and legal strategy
• Manage multiple cases, paralegals, projects, and deadlines
• Prepare and revise court documents
• Conduct legal research and write motions, briefs, and memoranda
• Keep abreast of legislative changes and judicial case law
• Market the law firm's services
• Work one Saturday a month with the potential for bonuses for new clients signed during those days
• Handle court hearings and trials
• Become an expert on Family Petitions, Asylum, Individual Hearings, SIJIS, U-Visas, Waivers, etc.
