We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced bilingual Immigration Attorney to join our supportive legal team in Woodbridge, Virginia, on a full-time basis.
Requirements
- A minimum of one year of experience in immigration law.
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active Bar License in good standing from any US state (VA/MD Bar highly desired).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, with proficiency in additional languages being a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of immigration law and immigration court procedures.
- Legal experience in immigration bond hearings, removal defense, and business immigration (L, H, B, E visas, I-140s, PERMs, etc.).
- Positive, welcoming, and professional demeanor.
- Willingness to travel to detention centers housing immigration detainees to meet with clients if necessary.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple cases and provide legal representation to immigrants facing removal proceedings before the Immigration Court.
- Meet with clients, advise them on eligibility for relief under immigration laws, and prepare applications for filing with USCIS and Immigration Court.
- Represent clients before various government agencies.
- Be open to working in any other area of law that the office deems necessary.
