About The Position
Lawhive is a new kind of law firm designed around attorneys, focusing on delivering excellent legal advice without the noise of admin, inefficient tools, or unnecessary overhead. Their platform supports experienced attorneys through AI and purpose-built technology for completing legal work. They specialize in helping individuals and small businesses with legal issues such as Visas, Citizenship and Naturalization, disputes, and consumer rights. Their AI supports routine admin and document work, aiming to make legal help more accessible and affordable by empowering lawyers. Lawhive is a fast-growing, forward-thinking legal team backed by top-tier investors, having recently raised a $60M Series B.
Requirements
- Excellent organisational skills to manage a high volume caseload
- Successful track record working with clients that need immigration help
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and effectively
- A strong interest in AI and how it can be used to improve the legal system
- Empathy and patience when dealing with questions
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Highly motivated, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a start-up or scale-up environment considered a bonus
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of immigration matters from start to finish
- Advise clients on legal merits, potential outcomes, and next steps
- Prepare & file a wide range of different US visa applications
- Define limited scope product offerings for small business and family Immigration needs
- Assist in collaborating with co-counsel on matters that require local or in-person representation as needed
- Serve as a subject matter expert, partnering with our Product and Engineering teams to review and provide feedback on product features for Lawhive’s AI platform, affecting immigration matters
- Advise on edge cases, risk scenarios, and regulatory considerations
- Participate in user testing, feature scoping, and documentation reviews
