About The Position

Clifftop Law PLLC is seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Attorney to join their dynamic legal team. This role primarily focuses on Immigration Law, with the ideal candidate being a self-starter passionate about helping families through difficult times. The attorney will handle all aspects of client cases, including communication, drafting legal documents, and representing clients before various immigration bodies. Requirements

Law degree (J.D.) OR a Foreign law degree + LLM
Licensed to practice law in Washington State.
Ability to handle a high volume of all types of Immigration cases.
Ability to multitask on a variety of projects.
Ability to work both independently & within a team environment.
Relocate to Lynnwood, WA 98036 before starting work (Required).

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Immigration Law is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Handle all aspects of a client’s case, including communicating with parties, drafting legal documents such as briefs and motions, and preparing for and attending hearings.
Represent clients before EOIR, USCIS, BIA, and CBP.
Handle a high volume of all types of Immigration cases, focusing primarily on removal defense, family petitions, consular processing, waivers, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, VAWA, U and T visas, and Employment/Business Visas.
Collaborate with a skilled team of legal assistants and support staff.
Establish positive and collaborative working relationships with clients, colleagues, and the courts.
Effectively apply legal solutions to clients’ issues.
Clearly and empathetically communicate legal options to clients.
Effectively represent clients at hearings, depositions, and trials.
Consult with and retain new clients.
Work with staff to accurately calendar all hearings, filing deadlines, and other key dates.
Communicate with the Managing Attorney and team members to continue developing skill set and taking on more challenging legal issues.
Take ownership of assignments and execute them timely.
