About The Position

The InterMed Group is hiring an Imaging Field Service Engineer to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on imaging equipment. The role maintains, inspects, repairs, installs, and calibrates equipment at client locations, and requires travel. Accurate service reporting and documentation are important. The engineer will service client imaging locations in Long Island, New York City, Brooklyn, the Bronx, and Staten Island. Experience with MRI, CT, and X-ray is required; experience with multiple modalities is preferred. This is a full-time benefited position.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in the CT or MRI modality.
Experience with MRI, CT, and X-ray.
Ability to work in medical facilities professionally.
Ability to perform orderly and efficient work while adhering to medical facility policy.
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with multiple imaging modalities.
Associate degree from an accredited electronics school, DOD certification, or equivalent experience.
At least 5 years working with diagnostic imaging medical equipment.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled maintenance and operation verification procedures on complex medical imaging equipment.
Repair, install, and calibrate complex medical imaging equipment, devices, and systems.
Inform managers about repair status, scheduled inspections, unusual equipment situations, and customer concerns.
Periodically inspect inventory and maintain common failure parts to support equipment uptime.
Work with, direct, and document subcontractors, vendors, and outside service technicians to ensure proper service delivery.
Maintain, inspect, and repair imaging equipment for client accounts.
Complete accurate service reporting and documentation.
Travel to client locations as required.
