About The Position

The InterMed Group is seeking an Imaging Field Service Engineer to repair and perform preventive maintenance on medical imaging equipment at client locations in Long Island, NYC, Brooklyn, the Bronx, and Staten Island. The position involves maintaining, inspecting, repairing, installing, and calibrating imaging equipment, along with accurate service reporting and documentation. The engineer must be willing to travel for work. Experience with MRI, CT, and X-ray is required; experience across multiple modalities is preferred. This is a full-time benefited position.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in the CT or MRI modality.
• Experience with MRI, CT, and X-ray.
• Willingness to travel for work.
• Ability to work orderly and efficiently while following medical facility policies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with multiple imaging modalities.
• Associate of Science degree from an accredited electronics school, Department of Defense certification, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience working with diagnostic imaging medical equipment.
• Experience working professionally in medical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, inspect, and repair imaging equipment at client locations.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and operation verification procedures on complex medical imaging equipment.
• Repair, install, and calibrate complex medical imaging equipment, devices, and systems.
• Inform managers about repair status, scheduled inspections, unusual equipment situations, and customer concerns.
• Inspect inventory periodically and maintain common failure parts to support equipment uptime.
• Work with, direct, and document subcontractors, vendors, and outside service technicians to ensure proper service delivery.
• Provide accurate service reporting and documentation.
