About The Position

Corewell Health operates more than 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, including primary care and specialty practices where team members can develop varied interests or specialize. The Imaging Assistant works under the direct supervision of a certified technologist or advanced imaging assistant and supports technical staff in providing patient care related to their technical duties. The position is part-time, based at the Heart & Vascular Center in Grand Rapids, and works weekend shifts from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays every other weekend.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent years of relevant experience in patient care.

Nice To Haves

• AHA or ARC CRT Basic Life Support (BLS); required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation.
• Transport patients.
• Prepare contrast.
• Assist with reviewing and completing medical imaging orders.
• Review consent forms and MRI safety forms.
• Enter necessary information into the computer.
• Screen patients for medical implants, shrapnel, and wearable devices to ensure safety before entering the MRI magnet suite (Zone 4) or scan room.
