About The Position
Assistedcare at Home is hiring Direct Support Professionals to support clients with intellectual or developmental disabilities in their homes and/or in the community in Wilmington, North Carolina, and surrounding areas. Caregivers provide supportive services under the supervision of the IDD Clinical Supervisor. Morning, afternoon, and evening shifts are available, and caregivers can choose their schedules. The role is intended for people who enjoy helping others and providing compassionate care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current driver’s license and auto insurance with the applicant’s name on the policy.
- Background checks are required.
- At least 6 months of experience working with the IDD population.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care.
- Provide companionship and care.
- Provide supportive services to clients in their homes and/or in the community under the supervision of the IDD Clinical Supervisor.
