About The Position

This machinist will independently and safely set up and operate precision CNC ID-OD grind equipment. The role requires the ability to read and understand process travelers, setup journals, tooling sheets, and operation sheets to produce complex finished products. The machinist will also make tooling adjustments and program offsets as necessary, and accurately inspect work to very close tolerances using various instruments.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of aerospace CNC machining experience is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to accurately inspect work to very close tolerances utilizing various instruments, including air gage, OD indicating gaging, indicators, profilometers, micrometers, height stands and verniers.
• US Person (Green Card Holder or United States Citizen) due to government contracts.

Nice To Haves

• Degree/certificate from vocation school or college program is a plus, but extensive experience may substitute for education.

Responsibilities

• Make tooling adjustments and program offsets as necessary.
• Accurately inspect work to very close tolerances utilizing various instruments, including air gage, OD indicating gaging, indicators, profilometers, micrometers, height stands and verniers.
• Perform daily TPM responsibilities.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices on machines and in work area.
• Comply with all company and safety rules and regulations.
• Wear necessary personal protective equipment as required.
• Actively participate in cross-training, cost savings and team activities to improve processes.
• Maintain appropriate tact and diplomacy in dealings with co-workers, team members and supervisors.
