As a CNA/ICU Technician at MercyOne under limited supervision will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Aids in the physical aspects of patient care, technical assistance to nursing staff and assistance in providing a safe and organized critical care environment (See attached Scope of Service). Under limited supervision performs clerical and receptionist duties and observe the cardiac monitors. Assists in implementing the philosophy, objectives, standards of care, policies, and procedures of the department and Mercy Medical Center.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • A degree from higher level education degree that requires a high school diploma or GED as a pre-requisite is also permitted.
  • Minimum of two years’ nursing assistance experience, two years Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) experience, or paramedic training completion.

Nice To Haves

  • Arrythmia monitoring course preferred.
