About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician (RVT) or Veterinary Assistant (VA) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at VCA Orange County Veterinary Specialists. We believe in high-quality veterinary medicine and patient care, and making that happen through dedication and learning. The position is for four, 10-hour shifts, 8:30 am-7 pm or 10 am-8:30 pm. This will include at least one weekend day. We may be part of a big company, but we are a close-knit work family. Requirements

• Experienced Veterinary Technician (RVT) or Veterinary Assistant (VA)
• Experience in Veterinary Medicine

Responsibilities

• Maintaining medical records.
• Preparing for and performing procedures and treatments.
• Preparing medications and prescriptions.
• Communicating in person and on the phone with clients.
• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
• Assisting in procedures.
• Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for hospitalized pets.
• Assisting in other areas of the hospital, as needed.
