About The Position
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to patients in a critical care setting, addressing a wide range of complex medical issues. The ICU provides care for patients with a variety of diagnoses, including: Sepsis, Respiratory failure, Encephalopathy, DKA (Diabetic Ketoacidosis), COPD exacerbation, RSV/Influenza/COVID-19, and occasional stable pediatric patients.
Requirements
- Experience with ventilators and drip titrations
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, monitoring vital signs and responding to changes in patient conditions
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Manage ventilator settings and perform drip titrations for medications such as heparin, vasopressors, Bumex, insulin, and sedation/analgesia
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Read telemetry strips and provide assistance as needed
