About The Position
At CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy, our focus is patient-centered care. Our level I trauma center and academic medical center campus is designed to heal the body, mind, and spirit of every person in a more comfortable, less stressful hospital environment. Our full range of medical services includes trauma services, heart and vascular care, emergency services, surgery, maternity, cancer care, and diagnostic imaging.
Requirements
- Graduate of an RN nursing program, upon hire
- Registered Nurse: NE, upon hire
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 5 - months

Responsibilities
- Monitor patients who are critically ill and unstable following extensive injury, surgery, or life-threatening disease.
- Provide whatever care or procedures are required throughout the shift.
- Assist a physician with a chest tube or central line.
- Provide wound care.
- Transport the patient for an MRI or CT.
- Administer medications.
- Clinically care for your patients.
- Remain focused and attentive.
- Advocate for their best interests.
- Utilize sound judgment during an emergency and rapid response.
