In addition, Partner Veterinary has a dedicated Learning and Development Department, to help credentialed technicians achieve your goals, supported by two veterinary technician specialists (VTS) Heather Carter and Christine Weaver . Our Training Department has an impressive track record of helping Technicians achieve advanced certifications such as a VTS, CVPP, and/or CVRP. To set you up for success from day 1, We gift you a wellness week of PTO after 90 days in your position. This includes 30-40 hours of extra time off dependent upon your weekly schedule. Partner Veterinary recognizes the demand that is on LVTs, and this wellness week allows you to rest and relax with a week off after your initial 90 days. What does your day look like at Partner? As an ICU Licensed Veterinary Technician, your focus is providing exceptional nursing care to critically ill and hospitalized patients. You will monitor and manage complex medical cases, perform advanced patient assessments, administer medications and blood products, maintain critical care equipment, and collaborate closely with veterinarians to implement treatment plans. From patients requiring oxygen therapy and intensive monitoring to those recovering from surgery or managing life-threatening conditions, no two days are the same. You'll utilize your technical skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail to recognize subtle changes in patient status and help drive the best possible outcomes for your patients.
