Requirements

  • Two (2) years RN experience within applicable clinical specialty and/or charge nurse experience
  • AZ RN license
  • AHA BLS and ACLS
  • Associate's degree of Nursing or foreign equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • CVICU experience or Critical Care Charge Nurse
  • Bachelor's Degree of Nursing
  • Certification in Specialty

Responsibilities

  • Oversee department operations and advocate for your fellow nurses by identifying and addressing the unique needs of your patients, staff, and unit.
  • Drive clinical excellence, manage overall unit performance, and confidently lead both 1:1 interactions and group communications.
  • Mentors others in areas such as competency, documentation, equipment use, plan of care, National Patient Safety Goals, and participation in inservice education
  • Coaches to improve care
  • Provides direct patient care as appropriate to meet the needs of the patients and department
  • Prepares work schedules, assigns personnel
  • Coordinates patient flow on the unit to facilitate the provision of timely and effective care
  • Demonstrates appropriate prioritization and critical thinking skills in critical situations
