About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity. The Section Leader must be able to anticipate potential problems and apply solutions and preventative measures. Excellent attendance is required. The role involves operating a forklift and flexibility to support extraordinary production requirements. Excellent communication skills are necessary to present information to large groups of associates. The Section Leader will communicate and enforce policies and procedures, support and direct daily company production and projects, and understand the roles and responsibilities of each associate, being able to perform any associate's job if necessary. The role includes investigating abnormal situations, documenting and sharing findings using Microsoft Office, monitoring the aging trailer report, confirming order and yard maintenance in GCCS/GPCS, ensuring the error management screen is maintained, and reporting unresolved issues. The Section Leader will respond to AAP Requests (Cycle Count/JSP), identify needed repacks and timings, complete all carryover requests from AAP, and provide daily activity results to the Supervisor. Support for Physical Inventory requirements is also expected. In terms of Safety/Environment, the Section Leader must follow safety rules, ensure the work area is clean at the end of the shift, and support Incident Reports. For Quality, maintaining Inventory Accuracy daily and reporting any inventory irregularities to the Supervisor immediately are key. For Cost, ensuring the correct receipt of all parts in both GCCS and GPCS is crucial. For Delivery, supporting overtime (scheduled or unscheduled) and monitoring receiving areas to ensure correct receipt are important. For Morale, interacting with team members and customers daily in a positive way, treating all associates consistently and respectfully, and raising concerns/issues immediately to management are expected. For Training, associates will train on SOPs as presented by management, and skill advancement courses are available.

Requirements

  • Post-high school education (2 - 4-year degree in Operations Management, Business or related field) or equivalent experience.
  • Able to interact professionally within the company with our customer and associates.
  • Able to lead project teams and present information to management.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be able and willing to work any shift, hours, holidays, weekends, or overtime as needed.
  • Computer skills- Microsoft Office; GCCS/GPCS.
  • Successful completion of Microsoft Assessment Test will be required.
