About The Position

As a PJ’s Ice Cream Parlor Attendant, you help turn that simple pleasure into a memorable part of the Nemacolin experience through genuine hospitality, attentive service, and a polished point of service. You combine product knowledge, accurate cash handling, and a positive presence to keep the parlor welcoming, well-stocked, and ready for every guest while building valuable skills for a career in hospitality.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two years of guest service experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • RAMP certification through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or the ability to obtain and maintain certification as required.
  • Ability to speak English fluently and communicate professionally with guests and business contacts.
  • Ability to stand for up to eight hours and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
  • Ability to follow established resort SOPs related to cash handling, appearance, attendance, phone etiquette, timing, guest service, and food safety.
  • Ability to develop and maintain working knowledge of menus, allergens, and accurate resort information.

  • Maintain a welcoming, service-ready parlor by keeping it clean, organized, and well-stocked while completing daily preparation and side work.
  • Engage in confident and informed guest interactions by developing knowledge of menus, allergens, and resort offerings and sharing accurate information when guests need assistance.
  • Maintain a polished point of service through accurate cash handling, professional appearance, consistent adherence to resort standards, and careful attention to the details guests notice.
  • Foster a positive and dependable team environment by communicating clearly, supporting coworkers, anticipating operational needs, and remaining composed during busy periods.
  • Build a strong foundation for a hospitality career through hands-on experience in guest relations, service, product knowledge, cash handling, and the daily operation of a high-volume resort outlet.
