About The Position

The M&A Investment Banking Associate for the KBW Investment Banking Financial Services Group develops financial models and related valuation analysis for both public and private offerings. This role plays a critical part in managing the deal process from origination to close, developing integrated financial models and related valuation analyses, and participating in M&A, corporate finance (debt, public, and private equity) and restructuring assignments. The associate will also prepare valuations, write memorandums for M&A and private placement processes, conduct M&A analyses, and participate in due diligence and drafting sessions for public and private offerings. Additionally, the role involves mentoring junior staff and working on multiple projects and transactions concurrently.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field
3-5 years post-undergraduate work experience in investment banking or a related field
Strong ability to work in an entrepreneurial culture
Ability to manage, from start to finish, financing and M&A transactions
Excellent analytical, modeling, and client management skills
Exercises good judgment in assessing risks and rewards of new business opportunities
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
