About The Position

Lead the County's enterprise technology strategy by overseeing critical IT infrastructure and operational services. This position directs Network Services, Service Desk operations, IT asset management, and infrastructure teams to deliver secure, resilient, and efficient technology solutions that enable County services, strengthen cybersecurity, and support long-term organizational success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred: Information Technology Computer Science Network Engineering Business Administration
  • Seven (7) years of experience in information technology infrastructure, operations, or a related field, to include three (3) years of progressively responsible supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Knowledge of departmental policies, plans, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure, including network, server, telecommunications, cloud services, and end-user computing environments.
  • Knowledge of IT service management principles, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, financial management, and cost analysis techniques.
  • Knowledge of local government operations and administrative practices.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills, including team development, strategic planning, and performance management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Skill in project management, including prioritization, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Skill in effective communication, both orally and in writing.
  • Skill in developing and presenting technical and non-technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to evaluate operational performance and implement process improvements.
  • Ability to develop policies, procedures, and strategic plans.
  • Ability to manage multiple functional areas and balance competing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the County's IT Infrastructure & Operations division, including Network Services, Client Services, and Enterprise Systems Administration.
  • Develop and implement technology strategies that align with County priorities and organizational goals.
  • Direct enterprise infrastructure operations, including networks, servers, telecommunications, endpoints, and end-user support.
  • Lead infrastructure projects, technology initiatives, and continuous service improvements to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient IT services.
  • Manage division budgets, vendor partnerships, contracts, and IT asset lifecycle planning.
  • Promote cybersecurity, disaster recovery, business continuity, and compliance with applicable regulations and IT standards.
  • Collaborate with County leadership, departments, and external partners to deliver enterprise technology solutions.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop managers and staff while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and exceptional customer service.
  • Prepare recommendations, reports, and presentations for executive leadership and assist with emergency operations as needed.
