About The Position

The IT Manager is responsible for the administration, security, support, automation, and continuous improvement of Vireo Systems' technology environment. This role oversees Microsoft 365 administration, cybersecurity, endpoint management, networking, business systems, and user support while identifying opportunities to streamline operations through automation and technology innovation. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technology leader who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, building scalable systems, and leveraging automation to improve business efficiency. This position will supervise IT support personnel, manage key technology vendors, and partner with leadership to implement solutions that enhance productivity, reduce manual processes, and support company growth.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of IT administration or IT management experience.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, and Microsoft Defender.
  • Supporting cybersecurity, endpoint management, and networking environments.
  • Troubleshooting and supporting business applications and end users.
  • Managing technology vendors and service providers.
  • Designing and implementing workflow automation solutions.
  • Improving business processes through technology and automation.
  • Understanding of Microsoft 365 administration and ecosystem integrations.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Microsoft Graph API
  • AI tools and business productivity platforms
  • Low-code / no-code automation solutions
  • Microsoft certifications or equivalent technical certifications.
  • Power Automate or workflow automation tools.
  • Supporting ERP or business systems such as NetSuite.
  • Experience supporting multi-site operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily IT operations across multiple locations and remote employees.
  • Ensure reliable performance, security, and availability of business systems and technology infrastructure.
  • Oversee hardware procurement, inventory management, software licensing, and asset lifecycle management.
  • Serve as the highest level of technical support escalation.
  • Design, implement, and maintain business automation solutions using Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps, Microsoft Graph, AI tools, and related technologies.
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate manual processes and improve operational efficiency across departments.
  • Automate onboarding, offboarding, approvals, reporting, notifications, license management, and other business workflows.
  • Partner with department leaders to understand operational challenges and develop technology-driven solutions.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, AI tools, and automation platforms to improve business performance.
  • Maintain governance, documentation, and support for automation platforms and integrations.
  • Support organizational adoption of AI and productivity-enhancing technologies.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 including: Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID, Intune, Microsoft Defender.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, licensing, and security controls.
  • Support onboarding, offboarding, and user provisioning processes.
  • Maintain cybersecurity tools and security best practices.
  • Monitor and respond to security alerts, vulnerabilities, and incidents.
  • Administer MFA, conditional access policies, endpoint security, and compliance programs.
  • Conduct user security awareness training and phishing prevention initiatives.
  • Manage Windows and macOS devices.
  • Oversee software deployment, patching, device compliance, and endpoint security.
  • Support networking, wireless infrastructure, VPN access, printers, mobile devices, and telecommunications systems.
  • Support key business applications including Microsoft 365, NetSuite, Power BI, BarTender, and other operational systems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and technology solutions.
  • Assist with implementation of business process improvements and technology projects.
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and consultants.
  • Coordinate hardware and software purchases, renewals, and support agreements.
  • Supervise and mentor IT support personnel.
