About The Position

The Plant Supervisor supports the operation and maintenance of Luminant power generating stations. The role may require travel to support other Luminant stations. Responsibilities can include supervising and directing multi-skill production and maintenance support personnel to promote safe, reliable operation of generating units. The supervisor also supports planning and scheduling for the plant site, compliance, special projects, and operational troubleshooting.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 5–7 years of power generation plant experience.
• Experience using Maximo for work planning, creating purchase requests, and creating job plans.
• Experience using WST, Luminant’s preferred scheduling tool.

Nice To Haves

• Operations and maintenance experience at a power plant, particularly control operator experience on a unit with a drum boiler.
• Technical or Instrumentation and Control background.
• Power generation plant supervision, leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Good computer skills using Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with computer maintenance management systems and an understanding of PMMS and/or Maximo programs.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operation and maintenance of a generating station.
• Supervise and direct multi-skill production and maintenance support personnel to achieve safe and reliable operation of generating units.
• Manage employee and labor relations in accordance with company policies and applicable labor agreements.
• Ensure and monitor safety, environmental, regulatory, administrative, and procedural compliance, including documentation.
• Assist with coordinating and implementing special projects.
• Respond to emergency call-outs and assist with troubleshooting system problems when requested.
• Interface with outside vendors and contractors.
• Perform planning and scheduling for the plant site.
• Support plant-level budget ownership and spending control.
