About The Position

This role is responsible for supporting professional employees working in an organizational function related to the Intern's area of study. Depending on the internship assignment, the intern may work alongside engineers, scientists, or industry professionals to contribute to various projects related to their area of study. Under guided supervision, interns will assist with various projects and tasks, contributing to the organization's goals while learning from experienced professionals in the field. Assist in establishing a foundation in I&C design & analysis while deepening understanding of, and experience with, design & analysis tools, processes, and key product development and safety considerations for systems, structures, and components.

Requirements

  • Current student or recent graduate enrolled in a bachelor's or graduate degree program relevant to the discipline or functional area of the internship (pursuing an electrical engineering or related degree from an accredited institution).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of electrical engineering codes and safety standards, preferred.
  • Experience contributing to design projects, research, or design teams in a professional or academic setting, preferred.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with tasks or projects related to the area of study.
  • Provide support for day-to-day departmental or team operations.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions, meetings, and project discussions offering input and feedback when appropriate.
  • Attend team meetings and contribute ideas and suggestions to enhance operational efficiency or project outcomes.
  • Help organize and maintain project files, documents, and records.
  • Conduct research and gather information for ongoing initiatives and projects.
  • Help prepare reports, presentations, or other materials as needed.
