Engineering Intern - C&I
About The Position
The Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Team facilitates the management of our non-residential demand response programs, covering some of our largest customers and programs by flexible grid capacity. Our newly formed team will play a critical role in ensuring the scalability and flexibility of our future by creating a first class platform for our clients. This is an opportunity to join a highly energized team of engineers eager to define and develop key concepts, solve complex challenges with real-world constraints and have a positive impact on our climate future. This is a three-month internship opportunity.
Requirements
- Sincerity in loving data and all the things it can enable and empower
- Current enrollment in (or immediate graduate of) an undergraduate or graduate program in or related to data engineering
- Proficiency in SQL and Python
- Some monitoring and dashboarding experience (e.g. Snowflake, Sigma, Datadog)
- A clear understanding of the difference between OLAP and OLTP systems
- Basic familiarity with file structures like CSV, JSON, and Parquet

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with and receive mentorship from brilliant engineers from a variety of backgrounds, gaining wisdom from their unique experiences and talents
- Own a high-impact project during your internship and deepen your knowledge of modern data engineering tools like Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, and Sigma
- Work in an agile environment, deepening your understanding of translating product requirements into excellent products
- Improve monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution processes to improve EnergyHub’s products
- Improve our production pipelines, reducing tech debt and ensuring efficient data processing for our customers
- Other duties as assigned
