About The Position

Howmet Aerospace Inc. (“Howmet”) is currently in search of a Hyperion Applications, Specialist to join the Global Information Systems (GIS) organization, supporting the Howmet Corporate Center in Pittsburgh, PA. In this role you will act as a liaison to Howmet’s businesses and various customer groups as well as coordinate and lead the offshore teams in the support of the Hyperion Financial Management, Hyperion Planning & Essbase applications. Your responsibilities will include investigating and resolving support issues, championing process improvements, coordinating technical work and support efforts across various infrastructure and application support teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 5 (five) years of experience in Information Technology
  • Strong proficiency in writing and executing SQL
  • Working knowledge of Oracle EPM applications and tools – Hyperion Financial Management, Hyperion Planning & Essbase, FDMEE and Smart View
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years prior experience supporting Hyperion applications
  • Knowledge of Data Warehousing, ETL processes and Data Security concepts
  • Experience with Oracle R12 (12.2), Oracle 19c databases, PL/SQL, SQL, Linux
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills and ability to interact with customers, vendors, other IT professionals, and management.
  • Solid understanding of the software development life cycle
  • Out of the box thinking to evaluate alternate solutions
  • Solid leadership and organizational skills
  • Experience of working as a member of project team

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate deep understanding of business applications, processes, and technology.
  • Establish and maintain an effective working relationship across the organization, with leadership, customers, and 3rd party vendors.
  • Coordinate and assist in investigating and resolving support issues, technical work across various infrastructure and application support teams.
  • Lead the system upgrades, deployments, and technology expansions.
  • Preserve and improve the cybersecurity posture by keeping the applications and their infrastructure up to date.
  • Manage small to large-scale projects working with stakeholders to – plan requirements, manage and track project schedules, monitor budgets, identify risks, and communicate clearly with partners from across the company.
  • Lead the discovery, planning and implementation of process improvements in individual or cross-functional areas of responsibilities for continuous optimization of support and testing.
  • Collaborate with IT Business Architect to define and maintain application roadmaps.
  • Maintain ITIL artifacts (CMDB and support KB articles), architecture diagrams, audit, disaster recovery and various support documentations.
  • Pursue continuous learning consistent with the movement in the job requirements and changes in technology.
