About The Position

As a Hyperion Financial Management Functional Analyst, you help manage financial accounts in accordance with the organization’s objectives by producing reports, performing audits, inspections and financial simulations, and analyzing financial risks, losses and profits. You analyze and diagnose issues related to large-scale IT rollouts or upgrades in line with business needs and the functions of selected solution modules. You take on a leadership role for participants in development projects and innovative, complex and strategic initiatives. The nature of the files requires extensive and in-depth knowledge in your field, so you must always demonstrate professionalism and attention to detail. You contribute to the financial performance, planning and reviewing of budget processes. You help manage and monitor accounting systems by gathering, processing and recording financial data to accurately reflect the organization’s economic activity. You participate in product and service pricing and financial engineering; in financial market transactions; and in tax law analysis (including payroll).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field
  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience in functional analysis, including gathering requirements and writing functional specifications
  • Experience working in a technical support department in a business environment and with Hyperion applications
  • Knowledge of French required
  • Intermediate advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
  • Expertise in managing multiple requests and priorities, demonstrated by certification and/or relevant work history
  • Proficiency in Hyperion Financial Management
  • Proficiency in FDMEE
  • Proficiency in Oracle Essbase
  • Knowledge of ITIL best practices
  • Knowledge of operational support processes
  • Knowledge of MS Office as well as ServiceNow and MOS/Oracle ticketing systems
  • Knowledge of the account chart

Responsibilities

  • Define the implementation strategy.
  • Coach the team on analyzing business solutions to speed up delivery.
  • Help clients define their needs with a detailed solution feasibility and design reflection process.
  • Identify, input, analyze and interpret the functional specifications and data required to support decision-making for choosing appropriate IT solutions.
  • Develop complex execution strategies, determine their scope and write procedures and guidelines.
  • Analyze risks.
  • Write highly complex reports and test cases, propose solutions and make recommendations.
  • Serve as a specialist on how to implement recommendations.
  • Oversee the implementation of action plans to address issues in accordance with rules and parameters.
