About The Position

We are a Minnesota based family-owned business with an opening for a 2nd Shift Hydraulic Service Working Shop Foreman at our Fridley MN location. We are looking for someone detail oriented, with good computer skills, hydraulic repair experience, customer service skills and a desire to develop a team. You would be responsible for shift operations; supervision and development of techs; partnering with customers. Awarded Star Tribune’s Top Workplaces 6 years in a row. Requirements

  • Assisting mechanics in locating parts / job related issues / assist techs with repairs
  • 90% shop work, 10% office work
  • Willingness to jump in and help out where needed
  • Attention to details

Responsibilities

  • Managing the night workflow
  • Assisting walk in parts customers
  • Perform routine service repairs on heavy Truck and Trailers and Hydraulic Components; corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, hydraulics, cylinders, valves, diagnostics, circuit issues, hydraulic and electric; completes machine shop operations; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units; Diagnose trouble, disassemble hydraulic components and examine parts for defects and excessive wear.
  • Calling in customer repairs and approvals/ unit updates, assist with billing and repair orders when needed.
  • Ensure the final work product meets quality standards
  • Related activities that promote the goals of the Organization.
