About The Position

Hydraulic Specialty, Inc. is a Minnesota-based, family-owned business with a location in Fridley, seeking a 1st shift Service Advisor. This role requires mechanical aptitude, understanding of diesel repairs and fluid power/hydraulics, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to help where needed. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 7 am-5 pm, with approximately 40-60 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Repair and shop operation knowledge with a strong technical aptitude
  • Strong communication skills – both verbally and written
  • Ability to train technicians at varying levels of experience, skillset and learning styles
  • Able to receive feedback on operations from peers, subordinates and manager and respond in a productive and constructive manner with a focus on solutions
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong computer skills – knowledge of Karmak, a plus
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to the technicians
  • Evaluate technician’s skillset and provide training as needed.
  • Assist technicians in locating parts / job related issues
  • Schedule shift work
  • Call in customer repairs, Accurate Estimates and approvals/ unit updates
  • Organize shift with parts to pick up and vehicles for repair
  • Invoice repair orders in a timely manner
  • Related activities that promote the goals of the Organization.
