About The Position

Responsible for achieving annuity sales, recruiting and other related goals within assigned region. Identify and build relationships with targeted insurance licensed producers, investment advisors and registered representatives to successfully market and drive annuity sales. If supporting North American Company, identify and build relationships with registered representatives that are appointed through partner Independent Marketing Organizations (IMOs) as well. Maintain and drive annuity sales through current loyalty and base agents. Position products, company benefits and value proposition through phone calls, face-to-face meetings and events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or 5+ years sales experience in financial services industry (internal, external or combination) Required
  • Ability to work independently and to communicate clearly and concisely with effective written and oral skills
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally
  • Excellent presentation skills, both in creation and delivery, to current and prospective producers’/distribution partners of Sammons Financial Group member companies
  • Thorough knowledge of sales and marketing principles and practices
  • Demonstrate exceptional working knowledge of annuity products and company benefits and strengths
  • Proven ability to grow a region/territory as measured by sales, producer growth and persistency of business
  • Effective organizational, time management, sales and presentation skills
  • Criminal background check required.
  • If the position is in the SIG business unit, Annuity New Business Securities team, or if we are holding securities licenses, FINRA regulations require fingerprinting for this position; if we are holding securities licenses, a credit check will also be required. Management reserves the right to determine and approve incumbent suitability for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Work within region to achieve assigned annuity sales goals by promoting company’s products, services and benefits.
  • Identify and build relationships with key producers through face-to-face meetings, regional events, phone calls, webinars and other forms of communication.
  • Responsible for setting appointments and travel rotations in key areas to capitalize on opportunities.
  • Develop and facilitate presentations to promote company and products at various conferences and events.
  • Demonstrate strong ability to articulate the company’s strategy by presenting a compelling story about company strength, culture, values, products and services to drive sales growth and deepen relationships with producers and partners.
  • Analyze data to gain a thorough understanding of region; use data to create quarterly business plans/goals and areas of focus to drive sales.
  • Follow-up with attendees, active and recruits, after events to create interest in company products.
  • Assist with developing and implementing training programs for new products, sales material and services and programs offered by the company.
  • Support producers by providing training, case design, seminar assistance and company marketing collateral and forms.
  • In conjunction with sales management, create, implement, and follow-through on sales and marketing campaigns.
  • Gather and maintain a strong knowledge of competitor information and assist management in developing product and sales tools to gain and maintain a competitive advantage; act as a steward for the producers to keep them involved with field climate, trends and other important strategic information.
  • Support expense management by completing accurate travel expense reports on time, thoughtfully manage regional expenses, and identify and implement personal expense efficiencies.
